Frankenstein

Manchester Royal Exchange invites audiences to step inside Victor Frankenstein’s nightmare in a brand-new adaptation of Mary Shelley’s novel by playwright April De Angelis.

Director Matthew Xia explores the issues of identity, society, responsibility, superiority and ambition in a fast-paced version of this gothic spectacular.

Shane Zaza steps into the title role and Ryan Gage takes on the part of Captain Walton. Harry Attwell returns to the Exchange as Shelly’s tormented creature.

Frankenstein runs from March 9 to April 14.
