From the team behind Hazard—wrapping Cathedral Gardens in hazard tape, staging synchronised swimming in Piccadilly Gardens fountains and circumnavigating the city by canoe—comes a new excursion into the world of eccentric arts antics.
Haphazard (on Saturday February 9 from 12-4pm) promises a free day out for the curious of all ages, in a takeover of the historic Z-arts building in Hulme, Manchester.
Ten artist groups have been invited to invade the public spaces of the building: a tiny motorway of talking cars; giant geometric shapes making moon music and a squeaky, bouncy, ping-pong performance—just some of the random occurrences.
Lest we forget the unfeasible attempt to recreate iconic gameshow Crystal Maze; the hula-hooping masterclass; and the chance to explore the building's hidden labyrinths in search of the Minotaur.
