Horse + Bamboo and the Grand Theatre present The Nightingale, a blend of puppetry, storytelling and magical characters, on February 27-28.

After great success in 2012 with Red Riding Hood and Storm in a Teacup, Horse + Bamboo returns to the Blackpool venue with a magical show brimming with amazing things to look at, great storytelling and wonderful characters.

A selfish King replaces his melodic songbird with an all mod-cons mechanical gizmo—then wonders if something is missing from his life. This age-old story from Hans Christian Andersen is told through a blend of masks, puppetry, animation, vivid performance and original music.

Horse + Bamboo was founded in 1978, is based in Rossendale, Lancashire and tours nationally and internationally.

This performance is suitable for ages 4+
