Wicked, the show that starts its national run in Manchester in September, has announced cast members Nikki Davis-Jones, Emily Tierney and George Ure will join as Elphaba, Glinda and Boq respectively.

Also appearing will be: Liam Doyle (Fiyero), Marilyn Cutts (Madame Morrible), Dale Rapley (The Wizard and Doctor Dillamond), Carina Gillespie (Nessarose) and Jemma Alexander (Standby Elphaba).

The UK & Ireland Tour will visit Manchester Palace Theatre (from September 12 to November 16).

The show has already been seen by more than 36 million people around the world and has six productions running concurrently.

Based on the novel by Gregory Maguire it ingeniously re-imagines the stories and characters created by L Frank Baum in The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.
