Wizard of Oz at St Helens Theatre Royal

St Helens Theatre Royal stages an Easter panto—Wizard of Oz.

Under the eye of Radio City presenter and panto queen Claire Simonsen as Gloria the Good Witch, a number of Theatre Royal stalwarts are back for this production including Corrie’s Nick Cochrane as Scarecrow, Simon Foster as Lion and Charlie Griffiths as Eva the Evil Witch.

After a performance in last year’s panto, local girl Leah Murphy is stepping into Dorothy’s ruby slippers and local actor Mark Allen will be wielding the hatchet as Tinman.

Rounding up the ensemble are Harriet Rainford as Glinda and Aunt Em and Jason Bacon as the legendary Wizard.
