The Agency—led by Contact, Manchester and Battersea Arts Centre in collaboration with People’s Palace Projects—has announced the first six projects to receive support and funding for 2014.
Since last September Contact and BAC have been working with two groups of young people aged 14 to 29: one from Moston and Harpurhey in Manchester and one from Clapham Junction in London, all of whom have been developing ideas to change where they live.
Projects include MJ by 17-year-old Manchester sisters Marie and Jenny Lee, a fashion and beauty project with the aim of creating fashion and styling, and providing free training for out of work people in the area.
