Treasure Island

Audiences will be transported to Treasure Island via Morecambe Bay this Christmas at The Dukes in Lancaster.

The theatre is to stage its first ever Christmas show in The Round so children and families will be even closer to the fun from November 23-January 5.

And The Dukes has embarked on this theatrical journey with Coronation Street scriptwriter, Debbie Oates, who’s swapping the Weatherfield cobbles for the high seas.

Hers is a modern re-telling of the classic Robert Louis Stevenson story which sees Jim Hawkins being replaced by Jem, a young girl living on the shores of Morecambe Bay from where she sets sail on the adventure of a lifetime.
