Manchester theatre company Art with Heart will be premièring Declaration at The Lowry in the Salford venue’s Studio theatre June 23 to 24.
Stockport-born Rachel Moorhouse and Stretford-based Sarah Emmott have co-created Declaration, a new show on the process of seeking a diagnosis for ADHD as an adult.
It is based on Emmott’s personal experiences.
“As a child, I was a coiled spring, bouncing off the walls but I was never diagnosed. My current doctor thinks I have ADHD, but adult diagnosis is complex.”
Venturing into a world often unexplored onstage, Emmott shares her experiences with candour.
