Storm Arwen has forced the cancellation of Northumberland Theatre Company’s panto, Cinderella, at their home base, The Dovecote Centre in Amble, after severe damage to the roof.
“The damage to our venue has been significant,” Artistic Director Louis Roberts told the BTG, “and we can’t go ahead with the panto. It looks like we’ll be closed for several months at least. Thankfully we’ve still got the touring show out but it’s been a huge blow.”
The touring show, Alice in Wonderland, began its tour on 27 November and continues through Northumberland, Co Durham and Cumbria until 15 January.
