Leicester’s De Montfort Hall is looking for youngsters with star quality to perform in the junior chorus of Aladdin this Christmas.
Children between the ages of 9 and 16 are being invited to audition at the Hall on Sunday 30 June at 9:45AM.
Pantomime is returning to De Montfort after a gap of almost 20 years.
Steve Boden, managing director of Imagine Theatre, which is producing the show, says, “This panto is being written and staged for the people of Leicester so what could be better than having some local youngsters taking part.
“I can promise that Aladdin is going to be an absolutely spectacular show and I’m very proud to be part of the team bringing such a huge Christmas tradition back to De Montfort Hall.”
He adds, “We’re looking for kids who are great dancers, confident and also have that extra bit of sparkle that makes them stand out from the crowd.”
