Outgoing artistic director Paul Kerryson will direct both Annie and Rent

New York City will be recreated in Leicester when a company of more than 70 performers join Curve’s professional team to present the Tony Award-winning Broadway musicals Annie and Rent.

Curve’s chief executive Paul Kerryson who will direct both productions commented, “We’re heading stateside this summer and converting both the studio and main stage into one huge set to recreate Manhattan for Annie and Rent.

“It’s the first time we’ve staged two community productions back to back which is not only testament to the huge amount of creative talent in the region but also the popularity of our community productions with audiences.”

Annie runs at Curve from Saturday 26 July until Monday 11 August while Rent takes to the stage on Thursday and Friday, 31 July and 1 August, and also from Monday until Thursday 4 to 7 August.
