Go Back For Murder

There’s suspects, secrets and suspense in Agatha Christie’s classic ‘whodunit’ Go Back For Murder at Manchester Opera House from October 14-19.

It’s a murder mystery adapted by Christie in 1960 from her novel Five Little Pigs, editing out the legendary Hercule Poirot for the stage version.

The production features a cast of experienced stage and screen actors. Liza Goddard, star of such TV hits as Bergerac and the long-running quiz show Give Us A Clue, plays Miss Williams. Sophie Ward, whose extensive TV and film career most recently includes the award-winning BBC period drama series Land Girls, ITV’s Heartbeat, BBC’s Holby City and the 2011 film Jane Eyre, plays Carla Crale.

Robert Duncan who played jargon-spouting Gus Hedges in the multi award-winning comedy Drop the Dead Donkey takes the role of Philip Blake while Gary Mavers, who is best known for playing the heart-throb doctor Andrew Attwood in Peak Practice, plays Amyas Crale.

Actress and former model Lysette Anthony, known to television audiences as starring in the BBC sitcom Three Up, Two Down, ITV’s soap opera Night and Day and in Woody Allen’s award-winning film Husbands and Wives, appears as Elsa Greer while Ben Nealon, from the long running ITV drama Soldier Soldier, plays Justin Fogg.
