Children aged three and above can get their first taste of classical ballet, with My First Cinderella, part of English National Ballet’s bid to bring ballet to young audiences, when it comes to Manchester Palace Theatre May 18-19.
My First Cinderella is choreographed by ENB’s associate artist, George Williamson, working with dancers cast from the company school.
This simplified version of the ballet builds on the success of My First Sleeping Beauty—which delighted audiences at the Palace Theatre last June—and hopes to inspire long-term relationships with the art form, reaching out to newcomers today and developing the audience of tomorrow.
