Belgrade Summer SchoolCoventry’s Belgrade is offering two week-long summer schools during the holidays for young people aged eight to 16 to develop their theatre skills.

Each course will include a series of workshops and rehearsals in which young people will explore movement, voice and acting techniques with creative theatre practitioners from the Belgrade.

The group will work together to create their own devised piece of theatre which they’ll perform in front of family and friends on the last day.

The schools will run from Monday, 30 July until Friday, 3 August and from Monday until Friday, 20 until 24 August. There will be a different programme each week, so children can attend both schools.

Janthi Mills, the Belgrade’s general manager, said, “Last year’s school was a huge success, so much so that we’ve had to add an extra week this year.

“All the children who attended really enjoyed it. Parents agreed that it was a great way for young people to learn some new skills, meet new people and ultimately build their confidence.”

The summer school costs £125 per person per week if booked online and £135 if booked by phone or in person.
