A collective of musicians and actors dramatise the dark tale of Lou Reed’s album Berlin at the King’s Arms, Salford on Friday 3 July.

The mix of live performance and film is collaboration between the Manchester Musical Arts Collective, the EPI and Zodiac Film, performed before a strictly limited audience.

Gino Brandolani, a founding member of EPI, plays Jim and Carrie Lawson (ex Durutti Column) is doomed heroine Caroline. Their fatally flawed romance is brought together by musical director Nina Antonia. Tiny Tears vocalist David Eddleston is the voice of reality; and the narrator is Manchester legend Rob Gray.
