Birmingham Hippodrome: 84% proud to work there

Birmingham Hippodrome has been listed 76th in the 2014 Sunday Times 100 Best Not-for-Profit Organisations To Work For.

Stuart Griffiths, the Hippodrome’s chief executive, said, “This is our first time in the Sunday Times listing, so we’re very proud to have been ranked in the top 100 companies.

“We strive to do the best we can by working closely with our excellent team across all areas of this complex and unpredictable business. This means we can then deliver the best possible theatre experience for our diverse and growing audiences.”

Birmingham Hippodrome Theatre Trust is one of the UK’s largest presenting venues, employing 111 permanent staff and many more casuals.

Of those surveyed, 89% felt they could make a valuable contribution to the success of the theatre, with 84% feeling proud to work there. Staff think highly of their managers too, with the majority feeling they can speak honestly and openly with them.

Almost 900 organisations entered The Sunday Times 100 Best Not-For-Profit Organisations to Work For. A total of 250,000 employees gave their opinions.
