Birmingham sees spirit of Christmas show

Ghost the Musical, the Christmas show at the New Alexandra Theatre, Birmingham

Ghost the Musical, the stage show based on the Academy Award-winning film, is to be the Christmas production at the New Alexandra Theatre, Birmingham.

Ghost the Musical is “a rollercoaster ride of romance and comedy with dazzling state-of-the-art staging”.

The full cast will be Keisha Atwell (Louise), Wendy Mae Brown (Oda Mae Brown), Maeve Byrne (ensemble), Stewart Clarke (Sam Wheat), Michael Cortez (ensemble), Kimmy Edwards (ensemble), Jaye Elster (swing), Livvy Evans (swing), Ivan De Freitas (Willie Lopez), Gabriella Garcia (ensemble), Nick Hayes (ensemble), Stevie Hutchinson (subway ghost), Bradley Jaden (ensemble), Robert Knight (swing), David Roberts (Carl Bruner), Gregor Stewart (ensemble), Michael Stewart (swing), Rebecca Trehearn (Molly Jensen), Amy Webb (ensemble), Amy West (ensemble), Luke Wilson (ensemble) and Karlene Wray (Clara).

Ghost the Musical is directed by Tony Award-winning Matthew Warchus and has music and lyrics by Dave Stewart of the Eurythmics and Glen Ballard.

Set and costume designs are by Rob Howell, musical supervision and arrangements by Christopher Nightingale, illusions by Paul Kieve, choreography by Ashley Wallen, video and projection designs by Jon Driscoll, lighting by Hugh Vanstone and sound by Bobby Aitken.

Opening on Tuesday 17 December, Ghost the Musical will run until Sunday 5 January.
