Strike A Pose

Manchester’s Sustained Theatre Up North presents a season of shows by national and international BAME artists this Black History Month.

STUN is part of a national movement dedicated to the growth and prosperity of BAME creatives across the UK, and supports artists from all creative disciplines.

Highlights of their October season include the UK première of Yinka Esi Graves and Asha Thomas’s dance performance Clay and the North West première of Strike A Pose, a new documentary film about Madonna’s backing dancers on her most controversial tour (part of Black Gold Arts Festival), as well as brand-new theatre performances by established local talents Chanje Kunda and Cheryl Martin.
