The Best by Jack Rosenthal at the Lass O'Gowrie, part of Manchester Irish Festival, sold out so quickly that it will now also be performed at Bolton Octagon on Friday April 5.
The stage adaptation of Rosenthal's screenplay was by Ian Winterton, directed by Colin Connor and Nick Birchill, with additional direction from Rosenthal's widow Maureen Lipman who attended a rehearsal and gave notes to the cast and crew.
More dates may be added soon at the Lass O'Gowrie.
