Matthew Bourne’s multi award winning Swan Lake comes back to The Lowry in Salford from November 12-16 starring Cheshire-born dancer Simon Williams as The Prince.
Swan Lake’s 1995 London première turned tradition on its head with its all-male corps de ballet and took the dance world by storm. It has now collected more than 30 international awards, including three Tony Awards, and has become the longest running ballet in the West End and on Broadway.
Simon remains the only artist to have ever played both The Prince and The Swan in this production, and he will be doing the same again in this revival. In 1999 he toured with Matthew Bourne’s Swan Lake and then took a break from dance to pursue his other passion.
