British Council Edinburgh Showcase

The British Council has announced details of its Showcase at the 2011 Edinburgh Fringe in which, Brendan Griggs, Head of Drama and Dance, says, the aim has been "to identify work suited to our current programmes around the world and to the interests of our partners in the different regions in which we work."

The productions, mainly drama but five pieces of dance theatre, will be:

  • Curious, the moment I saw you I knew I could love you, England

  • Dog Kennel Hill Project, The Devil and the Details / Hinterview, England
  • Glen Neath and Hannah Ringham, Hannah Ringham’s free show (bring money), England
  • Greyscale, Tonight David Ireland will lecture, dance and box, England
  • Hetain Patel (Dance 4), TEN, England
  • Idle Motion, The Vanishing Horizon, England
  • Imitating the Dog, Hotel Methuselah, England
  • Jessica Curry, Perpetual Light: Requiem for an Unscorched Earth, England
  • Melanie Wilson and Abigail Conway (Subject to Change), ‘every minute, always’, England
  • Michael Pinchbeck, The End, England
  • National Theatre Wales, The Dark Philosophers, Wales
