Bruntwood, in partnership with Manchester’s Royal Exchange Theatre, has revealed the Longlist for the Prize for Playwriting and it has grown from 100 to 130 submissions.
Each will receive individual feedback from the Exchange’s creative team.
With all scripts completely anonymously, each entry is judged entirely on its own merit by more than 100 readers, recruited from a diverse range of communities.
Also announced is Amanda Parker as Chair of the 2022 Judging Panel. Founder of Inc Arts UK, she has delivered sector-leading research and consultancy on equity, diversity and inclusion in creative and cultural organisations.
The Judges will receive a shortlist of 15 plays before the identities of shortlisted writers are revealed on October 24 and the winner announced at an awards ceremony November 14.
