Bryony Shanahan and Roy Alexander Weise, Manchester Royal Exchange Theatre’s joint artistic directors, will be leaving in September.

Having led the organisation since November 2019 they will in the meantime develop the UK première of No Pay? No Way! and the world première of Untitled F*ck M*ss S**gon Play and set the autumn and winter season in motion.

Kate Vokes and Aziz Rashid, on behalf of Exchange trustees, said, “we thank them for their achievements as directors and the impact of the work they have developed for this unique stage. We look forward to their next productions for the theatre and wish them well in their future endeavours.”
