Burlesque at the Opera House

Britain’s “biggest burlesque extravaganza” is coming to Manchester, direct from London’s West End and unveiling a fresh cast for 2013.

An Evening of Burlesque’s themes include evocative Arabian Nights, fan dancing fantasies, ’40s WAF sirens, baseball babes and cheesecake pin-ups.

Promising to be “all tease, no sleaze”, it’s for over-18s only.

Audiences tend to be predominantly female, say the producers, attracting audiences dressed in burlesque-inspired outfits and there are prizes for some of the best dressed.

It’s at Manchester Opera House September 20.
