“Prepared for every eventuality”: Fringe chair Stephen Walker

Buxton Festival Fringe 2021 will open for entries on Tuesday 1 December with an improved entry procedure designed to be easier for performers to use.

Fringe webmaster Dan Osborne, explained, "we know that people are considering entering all sorts of events from live physical shows to online ones or even a combination of the two. The Fringe web site's revised entry form makes it simple to create the event you want.

“Tweaks to the way we present listings will also ensure that greater prominence is given to online links and, in the case of free shows, information on how audiences can make donations."

In recognition of the fact that entrants may need to wait a little longer than usual before deciding what they can take to the Fringe, there will be a flat entry fee of £50, which will be applicable up to the final deadline for the printed programme of 18 April.

Fringe chair Stephen Walker added, "this year's switch to a mainly online Fringe with more than 100 entries proved that we’ll put on a Fringe whatever the circumstances. We’re prepared for every eventuality and are ready to welcome events in whatever form creative people come up with."

The 2021 Fringe will run from Wednesday 7 until Sunday 25 July.
