Thalissa Teixeira as Brutus

The Royal Shakespeare Company tours Shakespeare’s political thriller Julius Caesar on nine dates this year, including the Grand Blackpool May 16–20 and The Lowry, Salford, June 20–24.

This new production is directed by Atri Banerjee, and will feature Thalissa Teixeira as Brutus and Kelly Gough as Cassius in the roles of the leaders who plot to kill Caesar.

Teixeira makes her RSC debut. She earned an Ian Charleson award nomination for her role in Electra at The Old Vic, and in 2021 named a Screen International Star of Tomorrow.

William Robinson makes his RSC debut as Mark Antony.

The production will also feature a community chorus in each venue the production visits, with each group made up of people from the local area.
