A new play will be showcased for two nights at the Middleton Arena in Manchester next January. It has been written by Karen Woods author of several successful novels based on real life experiences and stories in North Manchester.

After the success of her first play Broken Youth in June at The Lowry, she has now joined forces with Lisa Cary (Denise in Broken Youth) to co-direct the new adaptation of Teabags & Tears, Karen's fifth novel.

It is a community-based project that aims to recruit local, raw talent into the play. There is a casting call on Saturday August 3 (12PM-5PM) at the Moston Miners Community Arts Centre, Teddington Road, M40 0DJ.

No experience of acting is necessary.
