Choreographer Alexander Whitley’s "visually arresting" work Overflow comes to The Lowry in Salford March 22–23.
The production seeks to connect with the increasing strangeness of life in a world overflowing with information.
Overflow probes what it means to be human in the era of ‘big data’. It switches between intimate solos and expansive group sequences.
It sees Whitley build on his reputation for ground-breaking dance for stage, installation, and VR. Overflow includes a dazzling five-metre-long kinetic light sculpture by Children of the Light which moves over the dancers’ heads, seeming to track their movements across the stage.
