The Cherry Orchard

The Royal Exchange and Bristol Old Vic co-production of Rory Mullarkey’s brand-new translation of The Cherry Orchard arrives in Manchester in April following its acclaimed opening in Bristol.

Director Michael Boyd, former artistic director of the Royal Shakespeare Company, who studied Russian and trained as a director in Moscow, will be directing Chekhov—the literary love of his life—for the first time.

Kirsty Bushell and Jude Owusu lead the ensemble in a dreamlike new production in the Royal Exchange main house from April 19 to May 19.
