HOME in Manchester, The Yard Theatre and ETT have announced the cast for a world première of The Cherry Orchard by Anton Chekhov, reimagined by Vinay Patel from a translation by Helen Rappaport.

An old starship travels through space, almost at the speed of light, searching for a home. Like their ancestors, the crew were born on this ship, this voyage is all they've ever known. And then—a planet is spotted. In a habitable zone!

It will be directed by James Macdonald with Chandrika Chevli as Divya, Neil D’Souza as Lohit, Aaron Gill as Sailesh Panchal, Anjali Jay as Captain Prema Ramesh, Samar Khan as Anju, Hari Mackinnon as Feroze, Gavi Singh Chera as Pawan Talwar, Maanuv Thiara as Abinash Lenka and Tripti Subha Tripuraneni as Varsha.

It opens in London at The Yard Theatre September 5—October 22 then transfers to HOME November 2–19.
