£8.50 tickets for 18- to 25-year-olds

Chichester Festival Theatre was one of the most successful participants in the Arts Council's A Night Less Ordinary scheme to give away tickets to young people in 2009-10, and this year has a special allocation of tickets priced at £8.50 for 18- 25-year-olds for the world première of If Only, a political drama by David Edgar.

This is a great opportunity for young people to see this highly-relevant new play which shines a very bright light on the people behind the people who run our country.

Alan Finch, Executive Director at the theatre, said, "we are committed to making theatre affordable for younger audiences and will continue to make £8.50 tickets available throughout this season to nurture future generations of theatregoers".

Since their appointment in 2006, Jonathan Church and Alan Finch have explored various ways of developing the younger audience. During Festival 2012, the theatre attracted a significant proportion of young people to its pop-up auditorium, Theatre on the Fly, which staged three critically-acclaimed productions, Blue Remembered Hills, Playhouse Creatures and Fred's Diner.

£8.50 tickets will be on sale for all performances of all productions in both the Theatre in the Park and the Minerva Theatre during Festival 2013; they will be released one month before the first preview of each production.
