Northamptonshire venue The Core at Corby Cube has begun its Make a Memory appeal which provides free tickets to disadvantaged children.
Throughout December, customers are being invited to add a gift-aided donation of £5 when making a theatre booking. The Core will make up the difference and provide a free ticket to its Christmas show Swiss Family Robinson. In Corby, 26.4% of children are reported to be living in poverty.
The Core at Corby Cube chief executive Jo Gordon commented, “we’re very grateful to everyone who gave so generously to this brilliant campaign in Corby last year.
“This is a chance for our audiences to make someone's Christmas special. We hope that those who can spare a little this Christmas will consider making a donation again this year.”
Tickets for New Old Friends’ Swiss Family Robinson will be available for a number of performances. The show runs from Friday 6 until Sunday 29 December.
