Sleeping Beauty, Belgrade Theatre

Coventry’s Belgrade Theatre is holding open auditions to find 24 children to appear in this year’s panto Sleeping Beauty.

The auditions will take place at the theatre from 10AM on Saturday 15 September and are for children aged between 8 and 16. No experience is necessary.

Parents are asked to drop their children at the stage door opposite the Town Wall Tavern no later than 9:45AM where they will be met by licensed chaperones.

Children must be prepared to remain all day and should wear comfortable clothing as they will be required to dance at the audition.

The auditions will be led by Coventry’s panto legend Iain Lauchlan, who directs this year’s show and also appears as the Dame, Nurse Nanny Nora.

Sleeping Beauty runs at the Belgrade from 28 November until 5 January.

More information about the auditions is available at www.belgrade.co.uk.
