Tall Stories musical stage adaptation of children’s favourite The Gruffalo will be the 2014 Christmas presentation at Warwick Arts Centre, Coventry.

The show, adapted from Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s picture book, has enjoyed six seasons in the West End.

The Gruffalo involves a mouse going on a daring adventure through a deep, dark wood where she meets a cunning fox, an eccentric old owl and a party-mad snake.

It is said to be “the perfect combination of music, laughter and physical theatre with just the right touch of scary fun”.

The team behind The Gruffalo includes director Olivia Jacobs, creative producer Toby Mitchell, designer Isla Shaw, lighting designer James Whiteside and composers Jon Fiber and Andy Shaw.

The Gruffalo runs at Warwick Arts Centre from Saturday 29 November until Sunday 4 January.
