The second annual Liverpool Theatre Festival attracted an audience of 2,700 theatregoers across 12 days.

The outdoor festival programme featured 23 performances of 16 shows from September 1–12 at St Luke’s Bombed Out Church in the city centre.

Plans are already underway to bring the festival back in 2022.

It was created by theatre producer Bill Elms to help support the city’s creative arts industry during the pandemic.

This year, the event was preceded in July by a seven-day Little LTF fringe event to champion and showcase new works and talent, which attracted 1,200 festivalgoers.
