Brotherly rivalry: The War on Terry

Nottingham playwright and producer Hugh Dichmont’s “one-man comedy exploring brotherly rivalry, suicide and Christmas socks”, The War on Terry, will première at Buxton Fringe.

The play, an Influencing Machine production, previewed at Nottingham Playhouse in October 2017. It features Steve Conlin who played Roderigo in the theatre’s production of John Webster’s The Duchess of Malfi in 2015. Louisa Sanfey directs.

The War on Terry is set on Terry’s 27th birthday. His elder brother killed himself two years previously. Terry reminisces about their childhood while fighting to come to terms with his regrets as to how things could have been different.

It will be staged Underground at the Old Clubhouse on Sunday 15 July at 2:30PM, Monday 16 July at 1PM and Tuesday 17 July at 2:30PM.
