Organisations and individuals interested in rural touring are invited to an annual conference which aims to “help level the playing field for those living in remote areas by providing access to professional performances at affordable prices”.

Integrate, a three-day conference organised by the National Rural Touring Forum, will take place over three days in Shrewsbury.

On the first day, Tuesday 27 June, four artists will be offered the chance to promote their work to a captured audience on a boat trip down the River Severn.

Showcases from the local and national rural touring sector will feature on the second day. Birmingham-based theatre company Stan’s Café will stage its “internationally acclaimed performance installation” Of All the People in All the World which uses grains of rice “to bring once abstract statistics to startling and powerful life”.

On the final day the conference will take over Shrewsbury’s Museum and Art Gallery with a focus on outdoor touring, showcasing and international partnerships.

Timberlina, “the world's number one environmentally friendly bearded drag lady”, and Dan de la Motte will perform their new show Rock ‘n’ Roll Nature Revelation as part of an outdoor showcase in the Town Square.
