Manchester Contact’s annual Flying Solo Festival returns from May 5-14.
It features artists from Australia, Holland, Scotland and England and includes a host of Manchester performers. The range of shows explores topics from identity, race and family relationships to politics and climate change.
The festival opens with the award-winning Contact Young Company which presents Climate of Fear. Devised by the Company in collaboration with poet, writer and director Zena Edwards, this new show explores anger, what the emotion can teach us and how it can guide us to cope with the stressful demands of 21st century living.
