Northamptonshire theatre The Core at Corby Cube is to present A Christmas Carol as its 2016 festive offering.

An hour-long adaptation of the Charles Dickens favourite will be written and directed by Gary Sefton who previously directed Hansel and Gretel at The Core and The Wind in the Willows and A Christmas Carol at Royal and Derngate, Northampton.

Core director Nick Walker said, “I’m thrilled that we’ll be creating our own Christmas show for The Core again this year and that we’re able to welcome back the brilliant theatre-maker Gary Sefton. He’s renowned for creating shows full of energy and anarchy.

“It’s such a great story that translates across all age groups—and with the chance to throw snowballs at Scrooge, I’m sure it’ll leave audiences with a really warm glow to kick off the festive season.”

A Christmas Carol will run at The Core at Corby Cube from Thursday 8 December until Saturday 31 December.
