It’s True, It’s True, It’s True from Breach Theatre

Breach Theatre brings its new show It’s True, It’s True, It’s True, a courtroom drama based on the case of the rape of 17th century Baroque painter Artemisia Gentileschi, to HOME Manchester, October 8–12.

The show, which took home Untapped, The Stage and The Scotsman Fringe First Awards at last year’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe, returned to Edinburgh this year for a sell-out run as part of the British Council Showcase.

Based on transcripts taken from the 1612 trial it sticks closely to original research but uses modern language and an all-female cast.

Audiences are left to consider, "how much has really changed in the past 400 years?"
