Coventry’s Belgrade Theatre is calling on the people of Warwickshire to support its annual Making Memories appeal so that families in need can watch its panto Puss in Boots.

Set up in 2012, the appeal has raised enough money to enable 2,935 people to see a live performance. In 2019, the Belgrade wants to give 150 families—600 people—the chance to visit the theatre.

A representative from one of the Belgrade’s charity referral agencies said, “for parents and carers, survivors and their siblings to be offered the opportunity of attending the theatre and provide them with an experience they’ll treasure at this devastating and very difficult time in their lives is a truly generous gift.”

Donations can be made at the Belgrade Theatre web site. Puss in Boots continues until Saturday 11 January 2020.
