A new production of Henry V will be the crowning glory of a varied season of drama visiting The Dukes in Lancaster.

Shakespeare at The Tobacco Factory returns to the city with this examination of the nature of power from October 16 to 20.

Meanwhile, following their visit to The Dukes earlier this year with Bin Laden: The One Man Show, Knaïve Theatre return with War With The Newts on September 26, a contemporary re-imagining of an apocalyptic science-fiction satire.

A new cabaret musical written by Olivier Award-winner Jon Brittain makes its way to The Dukes on October 23 and 24. A Super Happy Story (About Feeling Super Sad) explains, sings and throws glitter about how it’s OK not to be OK.

On October 30, there’s just one chance to catch Silence, a new play which hurtles between Warsaw and London over two decades and three generations of a Polish-British family.

The visiting drama season ends on November 2 with Feral, following performer Sonya Moorhead as she protests against domesticity in a show which also features live music.

As well as hosting touring companies, The Dukes will be presenting its own homegrown drama this autumn and winter with Beautiful Thing from November 6 to 10 and Peter Pan from November 23 to January 5.
