The cast of The Owl Who Came For Christmas

Leicester’s Curve has cast its festive show The Owl Who Came For Christmas with four actors who are all from the East Midlands.

Mary Bonam is a familiar face at Curve as she regularly delivers interactive family workshops. The rest of the cast comprises Camille Burnett, Leicester actor Oliver Stanley who will be making his Curve debut and Annabelle Terry.

The Owl Who Came For Christmas is ideal for children aged three and above. It is based on the picture book by John Hay with illustrations by Garry Parsons. Co-produced by Curve and Norwell Lapley Productions, it will be adapted for the stage by Chandni Mistry. It will be directed by Curve’s artist development and new work producer Cara Nolan, with new music composed by Curve resident creative Jude Taylor and set, costume and puppetry designed by Abby Clarke.

Curve resident creative Stacey McCarthy will choreograph the show, with lighting and sound design by Curve technical team members Jonathan Payne and Angel Rossell de Pablos. Casting is by Curve associate Kay Magson CDG.

“What makes this company of actors even more special is they’re all from Leicester and the East Midlands, and represent the very best in local talent.”

The Owl Who Came For Christmas will run in Curve’s Studio from Saturday 2 until Sunday 31 December. It will play alongside Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Evita which will run from Monday 27 November until Saturday 13 January 2024.
