Devoted and Disgruntled

Devoted and Disgruntled, the Open Space event organised by Improbable Theatre in association with The Empty Space, returns to Newcastle this month for the third time after a gap of four years.

Devoted and Disgruntled is "a chance to have a real conversation about theatre, what we love about it, what frustrates us, how the industry could work better, and perhaps more importantly, how we can make real change happen and what action we are going to take."

The event is run in Open Space, which means that there isn't a set agenda but everyone will decide together at the beginning of the day what will be discussed. Those who attend can choose simply to listen or to put forward subjects for discussion. There will be no PowerPoint presentations! Anyone who is passionate about theatre and prepared to take responsibility for making it the best it can be is invited.

The event will take place at Live Theatre between 10AM and 6PM on Thursday 30 January and tickets are £5—and includes tea and biscuits.
