Brothers Grimm meets The Sound of Music in comedy duo Nathan and Ida’s show Tempus Fugit which will have three performances at Buxton Festival Fringe.

Nathan and Ida won the best comedy award in 2018 for their show Nathan and Ida's Hot Dog Stand. For Tempus Fugit, they have taken inspiration from well-known folk and fairy tales and added their signature spin to transport audiences to the tiny world of an enchanted cuckoo clock.

A brother and sister live happily in their routine, performing their hourly duties until suddenly nothing is the same. One of them dreams of breaking free, while the other is committed to repeating the same dance day in, day out—all under the watchful eye of the ever-present, mysterious and terrifying cuckoo.

Writers and performers Nathan and Ida said, "this show has a slightly different feel to our previous work. It takes on a darker note while still being uplifting comedy that's full of heart. It's Brothers Grimm meets The Sound of Music. Plus we’re thrilled to be back in Buxton."

Tempus Fugit can be seen Underground at The Old Clubhouse on Thursday 8 July at 7PM, Friday 9 July at 5:30PM and Saturday 10 July at 4PM.
