Nottingham Playhouse has announced that its new production of the musical Dear Evan Hansen has extended its UK tour by four weeks in 2025.
The production, which has a score by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul and a book by Steven Levenson, will play Aylesbury Waterside Theatre (10–14 June), Birmingham Alexandra where it returns after a one-week run in October 2024 (17– 21 June), Grand Opera House, York (24–28 June) and Edinburgh Playhouse (1–5 July).
Directed by Nottingham Playhouse’s artistic director Adam Penford, Dear Evan Hansen opened at Nottingham Playhouse in September 2024. Ryan Kopel plays Evan alongside Lauren Conroy as Zoe Murphy and Alice Fearn as Evan’s mum Heidi.
They are joined by Helen Anker (Cynthia Murphy), Richard Hurst (Larry Murphy), Killian Thomas Lefevre (Connor Murphy), Tom Dickerson (Jared Kleinman), Vivian Panka (Alana Beck) and Sonny Monaghan (alternate Evan).
This is the first production of Dear Evan Hansen in the UK to have an ensemble, which comprises Lara Beth-Sas, Will Forgrave, Daniel Forrester, Jessica Lim, Sonny Monaghan and Elise Zavou.
The creative team comprises Morgan Large (set and costume designer), Carrie-Anne Ingrouille (choreographer), Matt Daw (lighting designer), Tom Marshall (sound designer), Ravi Deepres (video designer), Matt Smith (musical supervisor), Michael Bradley (musical director), Natalie Gallacher (casting director), Michelle Payne (associate director) and Laura Llewellyn-Jones (orchestral manager).
