Ladies That Dig

Ladies That Dig is a new comedy drama from the team behind sell-out show Ladies That Bus.

With original music about the great outdoors and people who enjoy it, this one’s about friendship and green fingers, isolation and community, nature, nurture and what it means to ‘grow’…

Collected from interviews, the play is based on true life stories from allotmenteers, metal detectorists, archaeologists, gravediggers, forensic anthropologists and people who just love to garden. Budding love blossoms, hidden roots are unearthed, buried secrets revealed and golden treasures discovered.

Ladies That Bus toured to sold-out venues in 2020 and the company includes actor and composer Helen Longworth, director Kirstie Davis, writer and actor Joyce Branagh, actor Lisa Howard and actor Riana Duce.

The play will tour to The Dukes, Lancaster (February 9–11), Cast in Doncaster (February 14), Hull Truck (February 15), The Edge, Chorlton (February 16–18), Theatre by the Lake, Keswick (February 21), Oldham Coliseum Theatre (February 22–23), Lawrence Batley Theatre Huddersfield (February 24), York Theatre Royal (February 25), Rosehill Theatre, Whitehaven (February 28) and Brewery Arts Centre, Kendal (March 8–9), with other rural touring dates to be announced.
