Buxton Pavilion Arts Centre where most of the drama events will be held during Easterfest

Buxton Opera House is offering performances and workshops for children up to the age of 13 and their families during the Easter holidays.

The Derbyshire town's Pavilion Arts Centre will be holding most of the drama events during Easterfest, kicking off with Mavis Sparkle, a production which uncovers the magic of the universe using illusion, animation and laughter (Saturday 23 March).

Robin Hood on Monday 1 April will feature live music and puppetry and Bringing Down the Moon on Saturday 6 April will tell the tale of a mole who wants to pull the moon down to earth but soon finds that some things are not as easy as they seem.

Other attractions include The Brothers Grimm (Tuesday 9 April), Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus (Thursday 11 April), Stories in the Forest (Friday 12 April) and James Campbell's Comedy 4 Kids (Saturday 13 April).

Over at the Opera House there are two productions: an adaptation of Kenneth Grahame's The Wind in the Willows on Sunday 14 April and Spot's Birthday Party on Sunday 21 April.

Workshops available from 2 until 10 April include one featuring Robin Hood as well as a Shakespeare comedy workshop.
