Playbox Theatre has revealed details of its summer season as well as highlights of its programme up to Christmas.
Playbox develops theatre for and with young people and is based at its own custom-designed complex, the Dream Factory, in Warwick.
Artistic director Emily Jane Quash will direct the Young Production Company in Sir Gawain, a new adaptation by Toby Quash of the medieval poem set in the Court of King Arthur. It opens The Dream Factory on 6 June.
Playbox is concentrating on four large productions over the next 12 months.
Simon Stephens’s contemporary drama Punk Rock will take to the stage in October before a mystery project which will revealed only on opening night will open in December.
Shakespeare Young Company will be presenting The Merchant of Venice and Romeo and Juliet, both of them opening next February.
