A pioneering collaboration between The Dukes Theatre in Lancaster and Age UK Lancashire has reached the semi-final of a national competition.
The two joined forces in the autumn to offer older people and their families increased access to the arts.
Events included a dance performance, film screening, discussion and a Journey Café where people could socialise and find information on issues affecting older people, especially those with memory problems.
The events were open to everyone but were particularly targeted at people with dementia and their family members who can have difficulty finding activities to enjoy outside the traditional care setting.
The pilot project has now been selected as a semi-finalist in the £50,000 Ageing Well Challenge Prize.
